I'm a Design Director at Accenture Song, where I lead design for some of the most complex digital products in energy, telecom, and consumer tech. I've been at this for over 15 years — first in IT, then product, then design — and that path is still the most useful thing about me.
I got into design because I cared more about the people using the products than the products themselves. That hasn't changed. What has changed is my ability to operate at both ends of the spectrum — from shaping strategy with executives to obsessing over interaction details with engineers.
I run design teams the same way I'd want to be led: high trust, high standards, no guessing games. I'd rather show rough work early and iterate fast than polish in isolation and miss the mark. I've shipped real products under real constraints, and I know the difference between good design and design that actually ships.
Outside of client work, I build things — apps, tools, prototypes — because I believe designers who understand how products are made build better ones.
Joy and passion first. Life's too short for uninspired work.
Culture is a product. Build it with the same care you'd give a design system.
Over-communicate. Drive consensus. Make decisions.
Show work early, show it often, and iterate with evidence.
Human-centered thinking. Business-focused outcomes.
Lead the big picture. Obsess over the small details. Repeat.
Mentor. Share. Learn. Always.
I've had 3 complementary career focuses that gave me something relatively rare: depth in craft, breadth in context, and the language to bridge both.
